1. Who operates KosherHotel
KosherHotel is operated by SWISS X TRADE LTD (UK company number 16687219). Registered office: Flat 63 Highstone Mansions, 84 Camden Road, London, England, NW1 9DY. Contact: info@kosherhotel.net. These terms govern use of the platform. Accommodation is provided by the host identified in the relevant listing.
2. Our role and the free service
KosherHotel provides a platform to discover accommodation, submit reservation requests and communicate booking decisions. We do not own or operate the listed accommodation, and we do not supply the stay. The accommodation agreement is between the guest and the host. Under our current service, we charge neither guests nor hosts a listing fee, reservation fee or platform commission. Accommodation, deposits, local taxes and agreed extras may still be payable directly to the host. Optional products or services advertised separately are not included in this free platform service. Any future platform charges require clear advance information and a separate agreement where required; they will not be applied retrospectively to existing confirmed stays.
3. Requests, confirmation and prices
A submitted or pending reservation request is not a confirmed stay. The host must accept the request. Before relying on a reservation, the guest and host must agree the property or room, dates, occupancy, total price and currency, taxes and extras, payment requirements, check-in conditions and cancellation terms. Any deposit requirement must be disclosed before agreement. Estimates shown by the platform are not a guarantee of a final total or availability. A displayed request status records the host’s response; it does not make KosherHotel the accommodation provider. Keep the host’s written confirmation and agreed terms.
4. Direct payments, refunds and cancellations
Guests pay the host directly using arrangements agreed with the host. KosherHotel does not collect, hold or transfer accommodation payments, operate escrow, issue accommodation invoices, or promise compensation for a host’s failure. The host is responsible for payment instructions, receipts, refunds and performance of the agreed cancellation policy, subject to applicable law. Check the payee and payment terms before paying. Do not send payment-card numbers, passwords or verification codes through the site or AI assistant. Contact your payment provider promptly if you suspect fraud. Specific-date accommodation may be exempt from a general cooling-off period under applicable law; do not assume an automatic 14-day cancellation right. This does not remove any cancellation, refund or other rights available under the agreed policy or mandatory law.
5. Guest responsibilities
Provide accurate contact, date and occupancy information, use an account you are authorised to use, and be legally capable of entering the relevant agreement. Guests must comply with disclosed house rules and lawful check-in requirements, pay amounts validly agreed with the host, and take reasonable care of the accommodation. Any responsibility for damage or additional charges must follow the agreement and applicable law; a host cannot impose an undisclosed or unlawful charge merely by asserting it. Do not use the site for fraud, harassment, unlawful discrimination, fabricated reviews or unauthorised content.
6. Host responsibilities
Hosts are independent providers responsible for their identity and authority to offer the accommodation, accurate listing information and photographs, availability, prices, taxes, permits, safety, insurance where required, and lawful delivery of the stay. They must clearly state whether they act as a business or private host, identify the accommodation contracting party, and disclose material terms before accepting a reservation. Hosts are responsible for promises they make about meals, kosher supervision, Shabbat facilities, accessibility and room arrangements. See the Host Terms.
7. Kosher-friendly stars, certificates and demo content
The 1–5 Kosher-friendly stars describe cumulative facilities using the published star guide. They are not hotel comfort stars, a halachic ruling or religious certification issued by KosherHotel. An administrative review does not guarantee every room, service or future circumstance. Check the applicable rooms, the actual Shabbat arrangements, food supervision and the issuer, scope and validity of any external certificate directly with the host. KOSHERBED is optional brand information, not a certificate. Stars marked as illustrative on demo cards are examples only: those cards are fictional and cannot be reserved.
8. Our responsibilities and limits
We are responsible for our own platform service and duties imposed on us by applicable law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for an independent host’s accommodation service, a guest’s conduct, direct payment disputes between the parties, or events outside our reasonable control. The fact that the platform is free does not waive rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for our fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nor do these terms remove applicable consumer, data-protection or platform-law obligations. We do not use a zero-fee liability cap to override those rights.
9. Problems, unlawful content and moderation
First raise problems with the accommodation, payment or cancellation directly with the host and keep relevant evidence. You can also report a listing or contact us at info@kosherhotel.net with the listing URL, what is wrong and supporting information. We may investigate reports, request corrections, restrict accounts or remove unlawful or misleading content, and provide reasons and a review route where required. Contact the same address if you dispute a moderation decision. We may help exchange information, but do not promise a particular settlement, refund or recovery from the other party. For immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service.
10. Privacy, AI and third-party services
Our Privacy Notice explains how platform information is handled. Optional analytics is controlled through Cookie preferences. AI help can be inaccurate and does not confirm availability, create a binding booking, verify a certificate or replace direct checks with the host. AI submission is optional and uses the displayed consent control. Third-party links and advertisements may have separate terms; identify the provider before dealing with it.
11. Changes, language and legal rights
These terms apply from the version date shown below. Material changes will be brought to users’ attention as appropriate; new terms do not rewrite an existing guest–host agreement retrospectively. English is the source text and automatic translations are provided for convenience; contact us if a translation is unclear. Nothing in this language statement overrides mandatory interpretation rules or consumer rights. The laws of England and Wales govern the platform terms, but consumers keep mandatory protections and access to courts available under the law that applies to them, including in their country of habitual residence where relevant. There is no requirement to waive those rights or use exclusive private arbitration.
